Rogini Soya Chaap

Succulent and protein-dense soya chunks marinated with yogurt, tandoori masala, and ginger garlic paste, Soya Rogan josh are simply awesome. A unique vegetarian variation to the typical nonvegetarian Rogan josh items, the soya chunks Rogan josh is served with rice or Paratha.

Ingredient                          Quantity
Tomato                              5-6 no.
Oil                                     2 tbsp
Ginger-garlic paste           1 tbsp
Brown onion                     50 gm.
Yogurt                               2 tbsp
Red chilli powder              2 tsp
Coriander powder             1 tbsp
Saunf powder                    1 tsp
Dry Ginger powder            1 tsp
Garam masala powder      1 tsp
Turmeric powder               ½ tsp
Ginger chopped                1 tsp
Green chilli chopped         2-3 no.
Salt                                   to taste
Water                                as required
Soya chaap (Dry)             100 gm.
Coriander chopped           for garnish

Method:
1.Soak the soya chaap in warm water.
2.Cut and grind the tomatoes and keep it aside.
3.Heat 2 tbsp of oil in a pan, add ginger-garlic paste, mix well and sauté for 2 min.
4.Add tomatoes, mix well. Cover and cook for 4-5 min.
5.Mean while grind the brown onion along with yogurt and keep it aside.
6.Add red chilli powder, coriander powder, Saunf powder, ginger powder, garam masala powder, turmeric powder, ginger chopped, green chilli chopped and grinded brown onion in to the pan , mix well and sauté for 5 min.
7.Add salt, mix well and cover and cook for 1 min.
8.Add water in a mixing jar and shake it well and add to the pan and mix well.
9.Add more water to make liquid consistency and mix well.
10.Add soaked soya, mix well and cover and cook for 12-15 min.
11.Remove in serving bowl, garnish with chopped coriander and serve hot.
