Recipe Description

Methi CHicken Curry is a unique curry mostly cooked in North Indian homes where in greens are added to any meat/goat/chicken curry. This is also a great restaurant style curry which can relished with chappati. This recipe is in Hindi.
Ingredients             Quantity

oil                                    3-4 tbsp
Cumin seeds                   1 tsp
ginger chopped                1 ½ Tsp
garlic chopped                  1 ½ Tsp
Green chili chopped          3-4 no
Onion chopped                  1 medium
Salt                                     to taste
Tomato chopped                 3 no
Coriander powder               2 Tbsp
Red chilli powder                 1 tsp
Garam masala powder        1 tsp
Turmeric powder                  ½ tsp
Fenugreek leaves                2 bunch
chicken curry cut                  600 gms
coriander chopped               1 tbsp
lemon juice                           ½ tsp
kasuri methi                          1 tsp
ginger juliennes                     ½ inch
coriander sprig                       for garnish
green chilli                             for garnish

Method :

Heat oil in a pan add cumin, ginger, garlic and sauté for 1-2 mins

add green chilli chopped, onion, salt and sauté for 5-6 mins until lightly brown.

add tomatoes and Saute well.

Add Coriander powder , red chilli powder, garam masala powder, turmeric powder & sauté well.

Add fenugreek leaves and sauté for 3-4 mins

add chicken and mix well.

Cover and cook for 20 mins, while stirring in between.

Add lemon juice, kasuri methi, chopped coriander, and mix well

Transfer to a serving bowl .

Garnish with ginger juliennes ,green chilli and coriander sprig.

Serve hot with parathas of your choice.
