Recipe Description

Spicy Chicken do pyaza curry which has double the number of onions and this curry has a sweet flavour from the onions which taste so yum.

Ingredient

Oil                                     3 Tbsp
Bay Leaf                           2-3
Green Cardamom             5- 6
Black Cardamom              3-4
Cinnamon Sticks               2 1 inch
Cloves                               5 -6 no
Peppercorn                       1 tsp
Cumin seeds                     1 tsp
Onions Chopped               2 small
Ginger Garlic Paste –        1½ Tbsp
Tomatoes Chopped           2 Large
Salt                                     to taste
Green Chilli Chopped         2 no
Coriander Powder               1 Tbsp
Red Chilli Powder               ½ tsp
Turmeric Powder                ½tsp
Cumin Powder                     1 tsp
Garam Masala Powder        ½ tsp
Cashewnut Paste                3 Tbsp
Chicken with bones            400 gms
Water                                  ½cup
Onion cubes                       1 large
Ginger juliennes                 1 inch
Green Cardamom Powder ¼ tsp
Garam Masala Powder       ½ tsp
Coriander chopped             2 Tbsp

Method:-

1. Heat oil in a Pan, add bay leaf, green cardamom, black cardamom, cinnamon stick, Cloves, peppercorn and sauté for 30 secs.
2. Add onion chopped and sauté till onions lightly brown.
3. Add ginger garlic paste and sauté for 1 min.
4. Add chopped tomatoes, salt and cook till tomatoes are pulpy.
5. Add green chilli chopped, coriander powder, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, cumin powder, garam masala ½ tsp. mix well and cook for 3-4 mins.
6. Add cashewnut paste, chicken on bone. Mix well , cover and cook for 6-8 mins.
7. Add ½ cup water and cook further for 6-8 mins.
8. After total cooking of 12-15 mins add onion cubes, ginger juliennes , garam masala powder ½ tsp, coriander chopped. mix well and cook for 4-5 mins.
9. Remove from heat and transfer to a serving bowl.
10. Garnish with coriander sprig and serve hot.
