I’m back with another popular recipe for you all. Nothing beats a spicy Meat Masala curry with Rice or Roti for a happy lunch 🙂

Mutton Curry

Ingredient                                Quantity
Meat Masala:
Whole Coriander                     1 tbsp
Cumin seeds                           1 tsp
Black cardamom                     3 no.
Green cardamom                   4-5 no.
Cinnamon stick                       1 inch
Whole Black pepper               ½ tsp
Cloves                                     4-5 no.
For Curry:
Mutton Curry cut                     600-700 Gm.
Bay leaf                                   2-3 no.
Onion chopped                       ½ kg.
Ginger-garlic paste                 1½ tbsp
Green chilli chopped               2-3 no.
Ginger julienne                       ½ inch
Tomato chopped                     3 no.
Salt                                          to taste
Turmeric powder                     ½ tsp
Red chilli powder                     1½ tbsp
Coriander powder                    1 tbsp
Water                                       as required
Coriander chopped                  2-3 tbsp
Method:
1. Dry roast the whole coriander, cumin seeds, black cardamom, green cardamom,
cinnamon stick, whole black pepper and cloves till fragrant.
2. Remove in grinder jar and grind into a fine powder. Keep it aside.
3. Heat 3-4 tbsp of oil in a pan, add bay leaf and chopped onion, mix well and sauté for 5-6
min. or till onion become brown in color.
4. Add ginger-garlic paste, mix well and sauté for 1 min.
5. Add chopped tomatoes, mix well and sauté for 1 min.
6. Add salt, mix well and sauté for 3-4 min.
7. Add mutton, mix well and sauté for 4-5 min.
8. Add turmeric powder, red chilli powder and coriander powder, mix well and sauté for 3-
4 min.
9. Add prepared garam masala, mix well and sauté for 2 min.
10. Add Green chilli chopped and ginger julienne, mix well and sauté for 1 min.
11. Add water, mix well and cover and cook for 30 min.
12. Add coriander chopped and mix well.
13. Remove in serving bowl, garnish with coriander leaves, sprinkle some garam masala on
top and serve hot.
