Recipe Description

Pepper Chicken

Serving –4 nos
Preparation time – 10 mins
Cooking time – 15 mins

Ingredients           quantity

Chicken                600gm
Oil                        2-3 tbsp
Cumin                  1 tsp
Curry leaves         6-8 nos
Green chilli slits    2-3 nos
Onion sliced         2 nos
Fennel seed         1 tsp
Black pepper        1 tbsp
Ginger chopped    1 tbsp
Garlic chopped      1 tbsp
Red chilly powder  1 ½ tsp
Garam masala       1 tsp
Coriander powder  1 tbsp
Turmeric powder    ½ tsp
Salt                         to taste
Lemon                    ½ slice
Coriander leaves    2 tsp

Method :

1. Heat a deep bottom pan , add oil , cumin seed , curry leaves , green chilli slit , allow it to splutter.
2. Now add onion and sauté it for 3 mins on a slow flame .
3. Meanwhile , heat a pan add fennel seed , black pepper and dry roast it for a min , keep aside .
4. Now add ginger , garlic in the mixture and sauté it well for about 2 mins 5. In a blender , coarsely grind the roasted mixture , keep aside .
6. Once the onion is translucent , add chicken , red chilly powder , garam masala powder , coriander powder , turmeric powder , mix it well and cook for 2-3 mins .
7. Now add coarsely grinded mixture about 2 ½ tsp , salt and stir it well
8. Now add lemon juice , coriander leaves , curry leaves mix it well .
9. Transfer it to serving bowl , garnish it with pinch of roasted mixture , coriander leaves and curry leaves .
10. Serve hot
