Recipe Description

Ingredients                                                         quantity

Palak                                                                  2 bunch

Oil                                                                      4tbsp+ 1tsp

Cumin seeds                                                      1tbsp

Onion chopped                                                   2no.

Ginger garlic paste                                             1tbsp

Tomatoes chopped                                             2no.

Paneer cubes                                                     200gms

Salt                                                                     to taste

Coriander powder                                              1 ½ tbsp

Turmeric powder                                                ½ tsp

Red chili powder                                                 1tsp

Garam masala                                                    1tsp

Dry mango powder                                              ½ tsp

Green chilies chopped                                        3-4no.

Chopped ginger                                                  1tbsp

Butter                                                                 2tbsp+for garnish

Kasuri methi                                                       1tsp+ for sprinkle

Fresh cream                                                        ¼ cup

 

 

Method

  1. In pan, boil the water to blanch the palak properly.
  2. Once done remove it from the hot water and remove it in a bowl and add some cold water and ice cubes and keep aside.
  3. Now in pan add oil, cumin seeds, and sauté for few mins.
  4. Now add chopped onions and sauté till it is brown in color.
  5. Now blend the palak into puree form and keep aside.
  6. Once onions are brown in color add ginger garlic paste and sauté again.
  7. Now add chopped tomatoes, and salt and sauté it properly.
  8. Now add coriander powder, turmeric powder, red chili powder, garam masala, dry mango powder and sauté it properly.
  9. Once masala leaves the oil, add green chilies chopped, ginger chopped and sauté it properly.
  10. Now add half palak puree in it and sauté it properly.
  11. Now cut the cubes of the paneer.
  12. Now in other pan add oil, butter, let the butter melt properly, now add paneer cubes in it and fry it from both sides.
  13. Now add the paneer and butter in the gravy.
  14. Add the remaining palak puree in the gravy and let it cook for more 3-5 mins.
  15. Now add crushed kasuri methi, and fresh cream and let it cook for 2mins.
