Recipe Description

Ingredients                             Quantity

Arabi (boiled)                             8-10 no.

Coriander powder                     1½ tbsp.

Red chilli powder                       1½ tsp

Cumin powder                            1 tsp

Garam masala powder              1 tsp

Amchur powder                          1½ tsp

Turmeric powder                        ½ tsp

Salt                                                 to taste

Refined flour                                1 cup

Corn starch                                   ½ cup

Bread crumbs                               1 cup

Water                                            as required

Oil                                             for frying

 

Method:

  1. Wash and peel the Arabi and boil it.
  2. Once cool down, take a plastic bag, overlap the Arabi and press gently with your palm to flatten it.
  3. Marinate arbi with Coriander powder, Red chilli powder, Cumin powder, Garam masala powder, Amchur powder, Turmeric powder and salt, mix well and keep it in a refrigerator for 6-8 min.
  4. Take refine flour in a plate and keep it aside.
  5. Take Corn starch in a bowl add some water and make slurry. Keep it aside.
  6. Remove the marinated arbi from fridge, Dust some refined flour and deep into corn-starch slurry and then coat with bread crumbs evenly from all the sides.
  7. Deep fry in hot oil till crisp and golden brown in colour.
  8. Remove in absorbent paper.
  9. Place the fried arbi on serving plate, Sprinkle some chat masala, red chilli powder on top and serve hot.
