Recipe Description

IVy Gourd/Tendli/Tindora as called in various parts of India is actually the best brain food and this recipe is easy and cooked the tradtiional Gujarati style

  • Ingredients:
    Tendli – 250 gm
    Fresh Coconut grated – 2 tbsp
    Coriander chopped – 2 tbsp
    Green chilli paste – 1 tsp
    Ginger garlic paste – 1 tsp
    Turmeric powder – 1/2 tsp
    Coriander powder – 1/2 tsp
    Mustard seeds – 1/2 tsp
    Cumin seeds – 1/2 tsp
    Hing – 1/2 tsp
    Oil – 1 1/2 tbsp
    Salt – to taste

1) Heat oil in a kadai, add mustard seeds,cumin seeds,hing, green chilli paste and ginger garlic paste saute for a while
2) Now add cut tendli salt, turmeric powder coriander powder saute for a while
3) Now close the lid and let it cook for 8-10 minutes now add grated coconut and chopped coriander, plate it and serve hot with phulka
