Recipe Description

Schezwan paneer is yet another tongue twisting Indo-Chinese recipe for all the cottage cheese lovers. This aromatic paneer recipe offers a spicy blend of flavors and can become your most desired paneer dish with flying colors. The flavorsome gravy is thick and spiced up with schezwan and soy sauce

 

 

Ingredients                                                                Quantity

Paneer                                                                      200gms

Red chili powder                                                       ½ tsp+1tsp

Soy sauce                                                                 ¼ tsp+1tbsp

Red chili sauce                                                         1tbsp

Salt                                                                            to taste + to taste

Refined flour                                                              2tbsp

Corn starch                                                               1tsp+ 1tsp

Oil                                                                              for frying+ 1tbsp

Garlic chopped                                                          1tbsp

Ginger chopped                                                         1tbsp

Dry red chili                                                                6-7no.

Green chili chopped                                                   3-4 no.

Onion cubes                                                              1no.

Capsicum cubes                                                        ½ no.

Schezwan chutney                                                     3-4tbsp

Chaat masala                                                             1tsp

Black salt                                                                    ¼ tsp

Vinegar                                                                       ½ tsp

Water                                                                          as required+ as required

Spring onion                                                               1tsp + for garnish

 

 

 

Method

  1. First cut the paneer in big cubes and put them in a bowl. Keep the oil for frying.
  2. Now add red chili powder, soy sauce, and red chili sauce, salt to taste and mix altogether.
  3. Now add refined flour and corn starch in it and coat the paneer well in it.
  4. Now fry the coated paneer on high flame till they are crisp. Do not stir the paneer again and again.
  5. Once it is crisp remove from oil and keep aside.
  6. Now in pan add oil, chopped garlic, chopped ginger, and chopped green chilies, dry red chilies and roast for a min.
  7. Now add onion cubes, capsicum cubes and sauté for 2-3 mins.
  8. Now add schezwan chutney, red chili powder, chaat masala, black salt, soy sauce, and vinegar, salt to taste and mix it well.
  9. Now add little bit of water and mix it again.
  10. Now make the slurry of corn starch and water and keep it aside.( only if in need, use to thicken gravy)
  11. Now add fried paneer and spring onion and mix it properly.
  12. Our schezwan paneer is ready.
  13. Serve it In a bowl and garnish it with some spring onion.
