Recipe Description

Paneer Jalfrezi
. One of the recipes that is perfect for a mid week meal using simple ingredients but is so very tasty! Paneer is Indian cottage cheese that’s a versatile vegetarian option and absorbs spices to flavour curries really well and cooks very quickly.

Ingredient Quantity

Paneer                                  100 gm

Onion cut into julienne          1 no.

Green capsicum julienne      ½ no.

Tomato Julienne (Seedless) 1 no.

Red bell pepper                   ¼ no.

Yellow bell pepper               ¼ no.

Oil                                        2-3 tbsp

Cumin seeds                      1 tsp

Dry red chillies                   2 no.

Onion chopped                  1 no.

Garlic chopped                  1 tbsp

Ginger julienne                  1 inch

Green chilli slit                   3-4 no.

Turmeric powder              ¼ tsp

Kashmiri red chili powder 1½ tsp

Coriander powder            1½ tbsp

Garam masala powder    1 tsp

Black pepper crushed     ½ tsp

Salt                                  to taste

Vinegar                           1 tbsp

Tomato sauce                1 cup

Coriander leaves Chopped 1 tbsp

Method:

1. Heat oil in a non-stick pan. Add cumin seeds and dry red chillies and sauté till cumin seeds are splutter.

2. Add chopped onion, mix well and sauté till onion are light brown.

3. Mean while cut paneer into batons size and keep it aside.

4. Add ginger and garlic into the pan and mix well.

5. Add green chilli slit and tomato sauce, mix well and cook for 1 min.

6. Add coriander powder, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, garam masala powder, black pepper crushed and salt, mix well and sauté for 1 min.

7. Add onion, tomato, green capsicum, red bell pepper and yellow bell pepper to the pan and toss for 2 min.

8. Add vinegar and paneer and mix well.

9. Add coriander leaves and mix well.

10. Remove in serving bowl, garnish with coriander leaves and green chilli and serve hot.
