Recipe Description

Palak moong dal gujiya

Ingredients                quantity
Ghee                         1 tbsp + 1 tbsp
Spinach                     1 bunch
Cumin                        1 tsp
Ginger chopped         1 tbsp
Green chilli                 3-4 nos
Onion chopped          1 nos
Moong dal soaked     3-4 tbsp
Salt                            to taste
Coriander powder     1 tbsp
Red chilli powder      1 tsp
Turmeric powder       ½ tsp
Dry mango powder    1 ½ tsp
Garam masala           1 tsp
Black pepper crushed ½ tsp
Refined flour              1 ½ cup
Jowar flour                 ¼ cup
Ragi flour                   ¼ cup
Carom seed               1 tsp
Water                         as required

Method :
1. Heat deep bottom kadhai add ghee allow it to melt .
2. Meanwhile take one bunch of spinach and chop it .
3. Now add cumin allow it to splutter then add ginger , green chilli sauté it for 1 min .
4. Now add onion , sauté it on high flame for 1 min .
5. Add moong dal , salt , coriander powder , red chilli powder , turmeric powder , dry mango powder , garam masala , black pepper crushed , mic it well for 2 mins on low flame .
6. Now add spinach and cook it on a low flame for 15 mins .
7. Transfer it in a plate , allow it to cool down , keep it aside .
8. Take a parath , add refined flour , jowar flour , ragi flour , ghee, ajwain mix it well .
9. Now add water as required and make a stiff dough ,
10. cover it with a moist muslin cloth and allow it to rest for 10-12 mins
11. Now take the dough and roll it into a sheet , with the help of round mould , cut it into round shape .
12. Take the rolled sheet ,apply water all over the circumference edge.
13. Place the stuffing in the center and fold one side over the other like a half moon and sealed the edges ,flatten it a bit apply water using finger tips and give a fold .
14. Similarly make the rest.

15.preheat the oven at 180 degree C for 10-12 mins .

16.Remove the tray and brush some ghee on bottom and place the gujiya on it and cook for 12-15 mins at 180 degree C.

17.After 10 mins , remove the tray brush ghee on the top and cook it for another 4-5 mins .
18. Once gujiya is baked remove it from oven & Transfer it to serving plate

19.Ready to serve .
