Recipe Description

Methi palak pakode

Serving –4 nos
Preparation time – 10 mins
Cooking time – 15 mins

Ingredients                    quantity

Spinach                        1 bunch
Fenugreek leaves        1 bunch
Coriander seed            1 tbsp
Carom seed                 1 tbsp
White seasame seed   1 tbsp
Ginger chopped           1 tbsp
Green chilli chopped    1 tbsp
Salt                               to taste
Red Chilli powder         1 tsp + a pinch
Turmeric powder           1 tsp
Dry mango powder        2 tsp
Garam masala              ½ tsp
Coriander powder         2 tsp
LG Hing                        a pinch
Onion                           2 nos
Besan                          1 ½ cup
Water                           as required
Oil                                for frying
Chat masala                a pinch

Method :

1. In a bowl , add crushed spinach , fenugreek leaves ,coriander seed , carom seed , white seasame
seed , ginger , green chilli , salt , red chilli powder , turmeric powder , dry mango powder , garam
masala , coriander powder , LG Hing , onion .
2. Now crush the mixture until it becomes moist and it leaves a bit of moisture .
3. Once the mixture is mixed well , add besan mix it again until it reaches pakoda consistency .
4. In a bowl take small amount of water , slighty wet the finger tips & palm .
5. Make small roundels shape pakora and keep it aside .
6. Meanwhile heat oil in deep bottom kadhai for frying ,add the dumplings and remove once its
half done, place it on absorbent paper .
7. In a plate , place absorbent paper, with the help of it flatten the balls in coin shape .
8. Now fry the pakoda until it turn crispy golden brown , remove it and place it on absorbant
paper.
9. Drizzle a pinch of chilli powder & chat masala .
10. Transfer it to serving plate .
11. Serve hot along with Green chutney .
