Mattar and shimla mirch cooked together with flavourful masala must try
Ingredients:-
- Fresh green peas – 1 1/2 Cups
- Green capsicums – 2 no large
- Mustard oil – 2 tbsp
- Asafoetida – 1/4 tsp
- Cumin seeds – 1 tsp
- Ginger finely chopped – 1 tbsp
- Green chillies, finely chopped – 2 no
- Turmeric powder – a pinch
- Coriander powder – 1 tbsp
- Red chilli powder – 1/2 tsp
- Garam masala powder – 1/2 tsp
- Dried mango powder (amchur) – 1 tsp
- Salt – to taste
- Fresh green coriander finely chopped – 2 tbsp
- For garnishing-
- A fresh red chilli – 1 no
- Thin strips of red bell pepper and ginger
Method:-
- Finely chop green capsicum and set aside.
- Heat oil in a non stick pan. Add asafetida, cumin seeds, ginger, green chillies and sauté for half a minute.
- Add green peas, turmeric powder, coriander powder, red chilli powder, garam masala powder, dried mango powder, salt and mix well.
- Add green capsicum, mix and sauté for 3-4 minutes. Add 1 cup water and cook for 5-6 minutes till the gravy thickens.
- Add fresh coriander and mix well.
- Transfer into a serving bowl, garnish with a fresh red chilli and thin strips of red bell pepper and ginger. Serve hot.
