Recipe Description
Lima beans otherwise known as pavta, butter beans, broad beans is healthy recipe that is perfect for lunch and tiffin box.
Ingredients
Potato 1 large
Ghee 2-3 tbsp
Asafetida ¼ tsp
Cumin seeds 1 tsp
Mustard seeds 1 tsp
Curry leaves 12-15
Garlic chopped 1 Tbsp
Ginger chopped 1 Tbsp
Green chili 3-4
Onion chopped 1 large
Dry red chili 2-3
Lima beans 250 gms
salt to taste
coriander powder 1 tsp
turmeric powder ½ tsp
Garam masala powder ½ tsp
coconut grated 3 tbsp
lemon juice 1/4
Method
deseed lima beans and remove the seeds in a bowl
take 1 large potato and cut into small cubes , keep aside.
In a pan heat ghee, add asafetida, cumin seeds, mustard seeds, and sauté for 1 mins.
Add curry leaves, garlic , ginger, green chili, onion and sauté for 2 min
add potatoes , dry red chilli, lima beans, salt, coriander powder, turmeric powder , red chilli powder, garam masala powder and mix well.
Cover and cook for 10 mins.
After 10 mins add grated coconut, lemon juice and mix well.
transfer to a serving plate and garnish with coriander sprig
serve hot
