Honey Chilli Potatoes the yummiest recipe
Ingredient Quantity
Potatoes 2 large
Red chilli sauce 1 tbsp
Refined flour 4 tbsp
Corn flour 4 tbsp
Papad 3 no.
Oil 2 tbsp
Whole dry red chillies 4-5 no.
Ginger chopped 1 tsp
Garlic chopped 1 tsp
Celery chopped 1 tsp
Onion cubes 1 small
Capsicum cubes 1 small
Schezwan chutney 4 tbsp
Soya sauce 1 tsp
Spring onion chopped ¼ cup
Honey 2 tbsp
Salt to taste
Black Pepper powder ½ tsp
Oil for frying
Method:
- Peel, wash and Cut the potatoes into a finger size (1 inch) and keep it in a bowl.
- Add salt, ¼ tsp pepper, red chilli sauce and mix it nicely.
- Now add corn flour and refined flour and coat the potatoes nicely.
- Deep fry until half done.
- Remove it and again put it in to a same mixing bowl and coat it again with the remaining flour.
- Deep fry it over a high temperature until crisp and golden brown and keep it aside.
- For the sauce heat oil in a pan and add whole red chillies, ginger, garlic, and celery and sauté it over a low heat for 1 min.
- Add onion and capsicum cubes and sauté it nicely.
- Add schezwan sauce, soya sauce, salt, ¼ tsp of black pepper, spring onion and mix well.
- Switch off the flame and add honey.
- Add potatoes and toss the potatoes well.
- Add the remaining spring onions.
- In a plate place the Papad and place potatoes over them
- Garnish it with fresh coriander leaves.
- For Papad dry roast it in a pan or heat it in a microwave oven for 1 ½ min.
