Recipe Description

Aloo Kadhi

Potatoes Boiled                   2-3 No.
Ginger                                 1 inch
Garlic cloves                       4-5 No.
Green chillies                     10-12 No.
Coriander leaves               1/4 bunch
Water                                 as required
Yogurt                               2-3 tbsp
Gram flour                       2 tbsp
Turmeric powder            1/2 tsp
Red Chilli powder          1 tsp
Coriander powder         1 tbsp
Salt                                to taste
Amchur powder            1 tsp
Oil                                 for cooking
Cumin seeds                1 tsp
Asafoetida                    1/2 tsp

Method:
1. Grind together ginger,garlic,green chillies, coriander leaves and little water to a fine paste.
2. Take yogurt in a bowl, add 1/2 cup of water and gram flour and mix all together well.
3. Add 1 cup of water and mix well.
4. Add turmeric powder,red chilli powder,coriander powder and salt, mix well and keep it aside.
5. Heat 2 tbsp of oil in kadai, add cumin seeds and saute for 30 sec.
6. Add asafoetida and prepared green paste, mix well and saute for 30 sec.
7. Take little water in mixing jar shake well and add to the kadai, mix well and saute for 2-3 min.
8. Add gram flour mixture, mix well and cook for 8-10 min.
9. Add amchur powder and mix well.
10. Mash the potatoes and add to the kadhi, mix well and cook for another 4-5 min.
11. Remove in serving bowl and serve hot with chapati or poori.
