Recipe Description

Soya nuggets cooked with green chutney, yogurt and other spices.

Ingredients:-
  • Soya nuggets, soaked and drained – 1 ½ cups
  • Green chutney – 1 cup
  • Oil – 1 tablespoon
  • Cumin seeds – 1 teaspoon
  • Green chilies – 3-4
  • Curry leaves – 10-12
  • Onions, sliced – 2 medium
  • Tomato quartered – 2 medium
  • Coriander powder – 1 ½ tablespoons
  • Turmeric powder – ¼ teaspoon
  • Ginger finely chopped – 1 tablespoon
  • Garlic, finely chopped – 1 tablespoon
  • Cumin powder – 1 teaspooon
  • Red chili powder – 1 teaspoon
  • Dried mango powder – 1 teaspoon
  • Garam masala powder – 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper powder – 1 teaspoon
  • Thick yogurt – 1 cup
  • Salt – To taste
  • Birds eye chilies – For garnish

 

Method:-

  1. Heat oil in a non-stick pan, add cumin seeds and green chilies and saute for half a minute. Add curry leaves and onions and saute till translucent.
  2. Add tomatoes, coriander powder, turmeric powder, ginger, garlic, cumin powder, red chilli powder, dried mango powder, garam masala powder and black pepper powder and mix well and cook for 2-3 minutes.
  3. Add green chutney, yogurt and salt and mix well. Add soya nuggets and mix well and cook till soya nuggets are done.
  4. Transfer into a serving bowl, garnish with bird’s eye chilies and serve immediately.
