Recipe Description
Kolkatta Style Fried Chilli chicken
- Chicken Breast – large
- Salt 1 tsp
- Black pepper crushed 1 tsp
- Soy sauce – 1 tsp
- Refined flour 1 cup + 1cup
- Corn starch 1 cup
- Oil – 1 tsp
- water as required-
- Cooking Soda- ¼ tsp
- Oil for deep fry
For Masala
- Oil – 2 tbsp
- Garlic chopped – 1 tbsp
- Ginger Chopped – 1 tbsp
- Green Chillies cut into diagonal – 5-6 no
- Onion chopped -1medium
- Onion cube – 1 small
- Capsicum cube – 1 small
- Soy sauce – 1 tsp
- Salt – to taste
- Black Pepper Crushed – ½ tsp
- Spring onion – 1 tbsp
Method:-
- Thinly slice the chicken and pat it.
In a bowl add chicken , salt, pepper, schezwan chutney, soy sauce and mix well. Marinate for some time - In another bowl add 1 cup refined flour, corn flour, oil , water and make a thick batter.
- Add cooking soda and mix well.
- Keep oil for deep frying.
- In a plate take remaining refined flour and dredged the chicken.
- Now dip the chicken in the batter and deep fry until crisp and golden brown
- Remove it on a absorbent paper and keep aside.
- Now heat oil in another pan add garlic, ginger and green chilli and sauté .
- Add chopped onion and cook it for some time.
- Add onion cubes, capsicum cube and sauté for 3-4 mins
- Then add soya sauce, salt, pepper and chopped spring onion and mix well.
- Now cut the chicken into strips and place it on the serving plate.
- Now add the prepared mixture over it garnish with chopped spring onion and serve hot.
