Recipe Description
A simple corn toast is a bread toast recipe for children, open toast topped with cooked corn kernels
Ingredients:-
- White bread slices – 4
- Corn kernels – 1 cup
- Asafoetida – ¼ teaspoon
- Ginger, chopped – 1 inch
- Green chillies, chopped – 3
- Butter – 2 Tablespoons
- Oil – 1 teaspoon
- Spring onions bulb, chopped – 2
- Green capsicum – ¼
- Red capsicum – ¼
- Yellow capsicum – ¼
- Salt – to taste
- Jirawan Masala – 1 Tablespoon
- Milk – 1 cup
- Spring onion greens, chopped – 2 Tablespoons
- Lemon juice – 1 teaspoon
Method:-
- Heat butter and a bit of oil in a pan, add asafoetida, chopped ginger, chopped green chillies and sauté it.
- First add the chopped spring onions bulb (white) and sauté.
- Coarsely grind corn kernels. Finely chop green, red and yellow capsicums and add to the pan; sauté for about a minute.
- Toast the bread slices.
- Add corn, salt, milk to the pan and cook for a while. Chop spring onion greens, add and mix well. Add lemon juice and mix well. Finally sprinkle the jirawan masala and mix.
- Arrange toasts on a serving platter, put the corn mixture over them and serve hot.
