Recipe Description
Minced chicken delicacy- a North Indian favourite.
Ingredients:-
- Chicken keema – 1/2 kilo
- Mustard oil – 3 tbsp
- Black cardamoms – 4 no
- Bay leaves – 2 no
- Black peppercorns – 1 tsp
- Asafoetida – a pinch
- Cumin seeds – 1 tsp
- Ginger finely chopped – 1 tbsp
- Garlic finely chopped – 1 tbsp
- Onions – 3 no large
- Green chillies – 3 no
- Red tomatoes – 3 no large
- Kashmiri red chilli powder – 1 tbsp
- Coriander powder – 1 tbsp
- Turmeric powder – a pinch
- Chicken stock cubes, powdered – 2 no
- Garam masala powder – 1 tsp
- Salt – to taste
- Fresh green coriander finely chopped – 1 tbsp
- Juice of – 1/2 lemon
Method:-
- Finely chop onions. Add 1 cup water to the chicken keema and keep aside.
- Heat mustard oil in a non stick wok. Add black cardamoms, bay leaves, black peppercorns, asafetida and sauté till fragrant
- Add cumin seeds, ginger and garlic and sauté till garlic is lightly browned.
- Add onions and sauté for a minute. Cut green chillies into 2 and add to the wok. Finely chop the tomatoes, add to the wok and sauté till pulpy. .
- Add Kashmiri red chilli powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, powdered chicken stock cubes, garam masala powder, salt and mix. Add chicken keema and mix well. Cook for 10 minutes stirring continuously.
- Add fresh green coriander, lemon juice and mix well.
- Switch off the heat, transfer not a serving bowl and serve hot.
