Ingredients quantity
Palak 2 bunch
Oil 4tbsp+ 1tsp
Cumin seeds 1tbsp
Onion chopped 2no.
Ginger garlic paste 1tbsp
Tomatoes chopped 2no.
Paneer cubes 200gms
Salt to taste
Coriander powder 1 ½ tbsp
Turmeric powder ½ tsp
Red chili powder 1tsp
Garam masala 1tsp
Dry mango powder ½ tsp
Green chilies chopped 3-4no.
Chopped ginger 1tbsp
Butter 2tbsp+for garnish
Kasuri methi 1tsp+ for sprinkle
Fresh cream ¼ cup
Method
- In pan, boil the water to blanch the palak properly.
- Once done remove it from the hot water and remove it in a bowl and add some cold water and ice cubes and keep aside.
- Now in pan add oil, cumin seeds, and sauté for few mins.
- Now add chopped onions and sauté till it is brown in color.
- Now blend the palak into puree form and keep aside.
- Once onions are brown in color add ginger garlic paste and sauté again.
- Now add chopped tomatoes, and salt and sauté it properly.
- Now add coriander powder, turmeric powder, red chili powder, garam masala, dry mango powder and sauté it properly.
- Once masala leaves the oil, add green chilies chopped, ginger chopped and sauté it properly.
- Now add half palak puree in it and sauté it properly.
- Now cut the cubes of the paneer.
- Now in other pan add oil, butter, let the butter melt properly, now add paneer cubes in it and fry it from both sides.
- Now add the paneer and butter in the gravy.
- Add the remaining palak puree in the gravy and let it cook for more 3-5 mins.
- Now add crushed kasuri methi, and fresh cream and let it cook for 2mins.
- Now our palak paneer is ready.
- Garnish it with kasuri methi and butter.
- Serve hot.
