Recipe Description
Translucent rice paper with crunchy filling and sweet sauce…transports you to the Orient.
Ingredients:-
- Rice papers – 4 no
- Oil – 1 teaspoon
- Onions, chopped – 2 spring
- Chopped water chestnuts – ½ cup
- Ginger, minced – ½ inch
- Soy sauce – 2 tablespoons
- Red chilli sauce – 1 teaspoon
- Rice vinegar – 1 tablespoon
- Bean sprouts – ½ cup
- Plum sauce, for dipping – 2 tablespoons
Method:-
- Soak the rice papers in water for one minute before using.
- Heat the oil in a non stick pan and stir-fry the spring onions and water chestnuts for about two minutes on medium heat. Add the ginger, soy sauce, red chilli sauce and rice vinegar. Stir-fry for another two minutes ensuring that the vegetables remain crunchy and are not overcooked.
- Add the bean sprouts and stir-fry for another minute.
- Divide this mixture into four portions and place a portion on each rice paper. Roll up tightly.
- Serve immediately.
