Recipe Description
Ground soya nuggets cooked with green peas and plenty of flavourful masalas.
Ingredients:-
- Soya granules soaked and drained – 1 cup
- Shelled green peas – 1 cup
- Oil – 4 tablespoons
- Cumin seeds – 1 teaspoon
- Ginger, finely chopped – 1 tablespoon
- Green chillies, finely chopped – 2
- Onion , finely chopped – 2 medium
- Garlic finely chopped – 1 tablespoon
- Green capsicum, finely chopped – 1 small
- Tomato finely chopped – 6 medium
- Red chili powder – 1 ½ teaspoons
- Coriander powder – 1 ½ tablespoons
- Turmeric powder – ¼ teaspoon
- Roasted cumin powder – 1 teaspoon
- Salt – To taste
- Fresh coriander sprigs – 6-8
- Tomato flowers – For garnishing
- Fresh red chili flower – For garnishing
- Thin strips of ginger – For garnishing
Method:-
- Heat oil in a non-stick pan, add cumin seeds and when they begin to change color, add ginger, green chillies and onions and saute till translucent. Add garlic and saute further for two minutes. Add capsicum and tomatoes and mix well. Cook for eight to ten minutes.
- Add red chilli powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, cumin powder and salt. Mix and cook for three to four minutes. Add soya granules and green peas and mix well. Cook till soya granules and green peas are done.
- Finely chop coriander and add to the pan and mix well
- Transfer into a serving bowl, garnish with tomato flower, red chilli flower and ginger strips and serve immediately.
