Recipe Description

Indian bread stuffed with roasted gram and spices sattu or powdered roasted grams is one of the most healthiest foods on earth. Its packed with nutrients and tastes great.

Ingredients:-

  • Sattu – 2 cups
  • Garlic chopped – 6 cloves
  • Onions chopped – 2 no
  • Ginger chopped – 1 inch
  • Green chilies chopped – 3 no
  • Fresh coriander chopped – 2 tbsp
  • Lemon juice – 2 tsp
  • Ajwain – 1/2 tsp
  • Mango pickle – 2 tbsp
  • Mustard oil – 1 tsp
  • Salt – to taste
  • For dough
  • Wheat flour – 3
  • Oil – 2
  • Salt – to taste

 

Method:-

For stuffing:-

  1. Mix all the stuffing ingredients with sattu, add 1 to 2 tsp water to make the stuffing moist and easy to fill.
  2. For dough:-
  3. Divide the dough into small portions
  4. Place a portion of the sattu mixture (approx 2 tsp) in the middle, enfold the filling and pinch off the excess dough.Then, roll out the paratha.
  5. Cook on hot tawa or flat pan, applying oil/ghee till both sides are cooked and golden brown in colour.
  6. Serve hot with chutney, curd or sauce.
