Recipe Description
Delicious & authentic apple flavoured semonila halwa.
Ingredients:-
- Semolina (suji/rawa), roasted – ½ cup
- Apples – 1 large
- Milk – 1 cup
- Sugar – ⅓ cup
- Green cardamom powder – ½ teaspoon
- Saffron – a generous pinch
- Pistachios, blanched and slivered – 5-6 no
Method:-
- Thinly slice one apple and puree the other.
- Place the semolina, milk, sugar, apple puree, green cardamom powder and half the saffron in a microwave-safe bowl and cook, covered on high (100%) for three minutes.
- Divide into four portions. Pack each portion tightly into a bowl, turn it upside down onto a serving plate and de-mould.
- Decorate with apple slices, pistachios and the remaining saffron.
- Serve hot or at room temperature.
