Recipe Description

Another healthy recipe with tasty ingrdients, yet so simple to cook as this is really easy to make at home. Palak Patte ki Chaat gives you an awesome break time snack and if you make it just the way we did on our channel, it will be an amazing choice for evening snacks.

Ingredients

  • Spinach leaves – 8 to 10
  • Gram flour – 2 cups
  • Carom seeds – 1 tsp
  • Red chilli powder – ¼ tsp
  • Turmeric – ½ tsp
  • Salt – to taste
  • Rice flour – 2 tbsp
  • Water – as req

For potato mixture

  • Boiled potatoes diced – 1 large
  • Red chili powder – ¼ tsp
  • Chat masala – ½ tsp
  • Salt – to taste
  • Coriander chopped – 1 tbsp
  • Chopped onion – 1 small

For sweet curd

  • Hung curd – 1 cup
  • Sugar – 1 ½ tbsp
  • Rose water – ½ tsp

For toppings

  • Green chutney (coriander and mint chutney) -¼ cup
  • Sweet tamarind chutney – ¼ cup
  • Chat masala – a pinch
  • Red chili powder – a pinch
  • Nylon sev – ¼ cup
  • Pomegranate seeds for garnish or – as req
  • Coriander chopped – for garnish

Method

  1. Make a thick batter with gram flour, rice flour and all given ingredients.
  2. And deep the leaves and deep fry until half done, remove and let the heat the oil again to a higher temperature and deep fry the leaves again for extra crispiness.
  3. Now make the potato mixture by mixing dices boiled potatoes with all the given ingredients and keep it aside.
  4. In a bowl take 1 cup curd and add sugar and rose water and mix it nicely, keep it aside.
  5. Now arrange the fried spinach leaves and put 1 tbsp of potato mixture on top followed by sweet curd 1 tsp, green chutney 1 tbsp, sweet chutney 1 tbsp, sprinkle some chat masala and red chili powder on top, nylon sev and pomegranate seeds as req, garnish it with chopped coriander  and serve to your guest as a palak chaat canapé.
