Recipe Description

Multigrain Chilla, a typical instant pancake made genrally in Rajasthan, Punjab and parts of North India, with Tofu an interesting and healthy recipe.

Ingredient                                                      Quantity

Besan (gram flour)                                           1 cup

Jowar flour                                                       ½ cup

Bajra flour                                                        ½ cup

Salt                                                                   to taste

Red chili Powder                                              ½ tsp

Turmeric powder                                             ½ tsp

Dahi                                                                  ½ cup

Water                                                               as required

Spinach (Palak) Puree                                    ½ cup

Asafoetida (Hing)                                             ½ tsp

Oil                                                                    to cook

For Mixture:

Onion chopped                                               1 no. (Small)

Tofu grated                                                      100g

Green Chilli chopped                                       2-3 no.

Coriander chopped                                          2 tbsp

Red chilli powder                                             ½ tsp

Salt                                                                   to taste

 

Method:-

  1. In a bowl add besan, jowar flour, bajra flour, salt, red chili powder, turmeric powder, Dahi, water, palak puree, hing, and mix well , to make a batter.
  2. In another bowl add onion, tofu grated, red chilli powder, salt, coriander, green chilli chopped and mix well.
  3. Heat a tawa and grease with oil. Take a spoonful of batter and spread it evenly like dosa.
  4. Add a spoonful of tofu mixture on the chilla.
  5. Drizzle little oil and allow it to cook on a low flame.
  6. Once cook fold the chilla and remove it on the plate. Similarly make the rest
  7. Place it on the serving plate and serve hot with green chutney.
