Recipe Description

Raw bananas cooked in a delicious onion tomato masala.

Ingredients:-

  • Oil – 3-4 tbsp
  • Asafoetida – ½  tsp
  • Coriander seeds – 1 tbsp
  • Cumin seeds – 1 tbsp
  • Dried red chillies – 3-4
  • Ginger cut into thin strips – 1 inch
  • Green capsicum diced – 1 medium
  • Tomato diced – 1 medium
  • Tomato ketchup – 1 cup
  • Cashewnut paste – 2 tbsp
  • Coriander powder – 1 tbsp
  • Roasted cumin powder – 1tsp
  • Garam masala powder – 1tsp
  • Red chilli powder – 1tsp
  • Turmeric powder – ½ tsp
  • Dried fenugreek leaves (kasoori methi) – ½ tsp
  • Salt – to taste
  • Raw bananas ( kachhe kele) peeled cut into big cubes and boiled with salt and turmeric powder – 4  medium
  • Fresh cream – 2 tbsp
  • Fresh coriander sprigs – 8-10
  • Lemon juice – 1tsp
  • Green capsicum curls – for garnishing

 

Method:-

  1. Heat oil in a pan add asafoetida ,Coriander seeds ,cumin seeds, dry red chillies and sauté them for a while .
  2. Add ginger strips , chopped capsicum , tomatoes and sauté  for a while then add tomato ketchup then add cashew paste its (optional) and saute.
  3. Add coriander powder, roasted cumin powder , garam masala powder, red chilli powder , turmeric powder and saute
  4. Add dried fenugreel leaves ( kasoori methi) and salt then add the raw boiled bananas then add the fresh cream also (optional) then saute and cook it for some time
  5. Lastly add chopped coriander leaves then switchoff the flame andthen  add lemon juice and mix well  and garnish with chopped Green capsicum curls  and serve hot
