Recipe Description
Bhindi or Okra can be made with many variations say Onions, potatoes, etc. during summers its best to add yogurt.
Ingredients:
- Oil – 2 Tbsp
- Asafoetida – 1/4 tsp
- Mustard Seeds – 1/2 tsp
- Cumin Seeds – 1/2 tsp
- Curry Leaves – 10-12
- Green chilli Chopped – 1 tsp
- Ginger Chopped – 1 tsp
- Garlic Chopped – 1 tsp
- Onion Cubes – 1 large
- Okra – 150 gms
- Potato cubes – 2 large
- Turmeric powder- 1/4 tsp
- Red Chili powder – 1/2 tsp
- Coriander powder – 1 tsp
- Garam Masala powder – 1/2 tsp
- Salt to taste
- Tomato cubes – 1 large
- Coriander Chopped – 1 Tbsp
- Yogurt- 1 cup
Method:
- Add oil in a heating pan.
- Add Asafoetida, mustered seeds, cumin seeds and as the cumin and mustered seeds crackle, add Curry leaves, Green chillies, ginger and garlic
- Add onions, okra and potatoes.
- Saute for 5 to 6 mins for everything to cook.
- 5. Add spices turmeric powder, red chilli powder, coriander powder, salt, garam masala, and mix it well.
- Add tomatoes, coriander,
- close the induction.
- whisk the yogurt and add the yogurt while serving.
- Add mint leaves to garnish.
