Recipe Description

A simple corn toast is a bread toast recipe for children, open toast topped with cooked corn kernels

Ingredients:-                

  • White bread slices  – 4
  • Corn kernels – 1 cup
  • Asafoetida – ¼ teaspoon
  • Ginger, chopped – 1 inch
  • Green chillies, chopped – 3
  • Butter – 2 Tablespoons
  • Oil – 1 teaspoon
  • Spring onions bulb, chopped – 2
  • Green capsicum – ¼
  • Red capsicum – ¼
  • Yellow capsicum – ¼
  • Salt – to taste
  • Jirawan Masala – 1 Tablespoon
  • Milk – 1 cup
  • Spring onion greens, chopped – 2 Tablespoons
  • Lemon juice – 1 teaspoon

 

Method:-

  1. Heat butter and a bit of oil in a pan, add asafoetida, chopped ginger, chopped green chillies and sauté it.
  2. First add the chopped spring onions bulb (white) and sauté.
  3. Coarsely grind corn kernels. Finely chop green, red and yellow capsicums and add to the pan; sauté for about a minute.
  4. Toast the bread slices.
  5. Add corn, salt, milk to the pan and cook for a while. Chop spring onion greens, add and mix well. Add lemon juice and mix well. Finally sprinkle the jirawan masala and mix.
  6. Arrange toasts on a serving platter, put the corn mixture over them and serve hot.
