Recipe Description

This is a perfect stuffed buns recipes which is a complete meal in itself and works very well for tiffins. This is an innovative way to make sandwiches for the entire family.

Ingredients

For Choley

  • Oil – 2½ tbsp.
  • Bay leaf – 2
  • Black cardamom – 4 to 5
  • Ajwain(Carom seeds) – ½ tsp
  • Onion chopped – 1 cup
  • Tomato – 4
  • Ginger garlic paste – 2 tbsp
  • Red chilli powder – 1½ tsp
  • Choley masala – 2½ tbsp.
  • Coriander powder – 2 tbsp
  • Turmeric powder – ¾ tsp
  • Salt -to taste
  • Dry mango powder – 1 tsp
  • Chickpeas (soaked and boiled) -3 cup
  • Fresh coriander chopped – 2 tbsp

For Amritsari bun chaat

  • Bun – 4 no
  • Cheese slice – 4
  • Green chutney – 3 tbsp
  • Sweet chutney – 3 bsp
  • Onion chopped – 3 small
  • Amritsari tikkki shallow fried – 4
  • Choley masala – 2 cup
  • Nylon sev – 4 tbsp
  • Chaat masala – To sprinkle
  • Iceburg lettuce – 1 bulb

 

Method

For Choley :-

  1. Heat oil in a pan add in the bay leaf , black cardamom, ajwain and sauté  Add onion chopped and sauté till golden brown. Roughly chop the tomatoes and puree it and keep aside.
  2. Add ginger garlic paste and sauté for half mint.
  3. Add in the. Add in the tomato puree and cook the mixture for 5-6 mint.
  4. Add in red chilli powder, choley masala, coriander powder, turmeric powder, salt, dry mango powder and stir well. Cover with the lid and cook it for 2-3 mints until the oil ozes out.
  5. Add in the boiled chickpea with its stock and stir well. Add water Cook it on a medium flame 6-8 mints.Remove from the flame and keep aside

For bun chaat

  1. Clean and wash lettuce.
  2. Take the bun and scoop it out ., Place the lettuce, Amritsari tikki .
  3. Then topped it up with green chutney, sweet chutney, choley. Add chopped onion, nylon sev and cheese slice and bake it in the oven until cheese melt .
  4. Remove and serve hot.
