Recipe Description

 

This common household potato and spinach curry is a regular dish at home of people in India .

Ingredients

  • Boiled potatoes –  5-6
  • Spinach blanched and puree – 1 cups, chopped
  • Garlic – 3-4 pods, sliced into two
  • Onion – 1 large  chopped
  • Green Chillies chopped  – 2-3
  • Cumin Seeds – 1 tsp
  • Turmeric – 1/2 tsp
  • Chilli Powder – 1/2 tsp
  • Cumin Powder – 1 tsp
  • Coriander powder – 1 tbsp
  • Oil – 2-3 tbsp
  • Ginger and garlic paste – 1 tbsp
  • Tomatoes – 1 large
  • Salt – to taste
  • Yogurt – 3 tbsp

 

Method:-

  1. Heat oil in a kadai and Jeera and sauté it.
  2. Add the sliced, green chillies chopped and onion and sauté till translucent.
  3. Add in the ginger garlic paste and sauté
  4. Now add in the tomatoes, salt and sauté well.
  5. Now add in the coriander powder. Turmeric powder, red chilli powder, cumin powder and sauté well
  6. Now add the diced potatoes and mix well.
  7. Now add in the yogurt and mix well
  8. Lastly add in the spinach puree and mix well and cook for some time.
  9. Remove it in a serving bowl garnish with coriander sprig.
