Plum Chutney with a sweet and sour taste, a must try
Ingredients:-
- Aloo bukhare (ripe plums), seeded and pureed 8-10 no medium
- Table salt – ½ teaspoon
- Jaggery, grated – ½ cup
- Rock salt – ½ teaspoon
- Red chile powder – 1 teaspoon
- Roasted cumin powder – 1 teaspoon
- Stoned and chopped dates – 6-8 no.
Method:-
- Heat a thick-bottomed non stick pan on medium heat and pour the plum puree in it.
- When it comes to a boil add the salt, jaggery, rock salt, chile powder and stir well.
- Simmer on medium heat for 10 minutes or till it thickens. Add cumin powder. Stir and let it simmer further for 2 to 3 minutes.
- Mix in dates and cook for 2 minutes stirring continuously. Remove from heat, cool thoroughly and store in a sterilized, airtight glass jar.
