Recipe Description

The mouth watering Potato and Peas pattice stuffed with cheese a perfect kabab/snack for all occasions. Melting cheese from within the tikki will melt your heart and fill your soul. Try this recipe at home, serve it with mint chutney and enjoy !

Ingredients:

  • Green peas – 1 1/2 cup
  • Potatoes boiled – 2 nos
  • Cheese – 1 cup
  • Ginger chopped – 1 tbsp
  • Green chili chopped – 2-3 nos
  • Fresh coriander chopped – 2 tbsp
  • Turmeric powder – 1/2 tsp
  • Cumin powder – 1/2 tsp
  • Corn flour – 2 tbsp
  • Cumin seeds – 1 tsp
  • Hing (Asafoetida) – 1/4 tsp
  • Salt – to taste
  • Ghee – 1 tbsp
  • Cheese – 1 cup
  • Raisins – 1 tbsp
  • Cashew nuts – 1 tbsp
  • Coriander chopped – 2 tbsp
  • Chaat masala – 1 tsp
  • Oil – for shallow frying

 

How to make Aaloo Matar Cheese Tikki (Method):
1) Heat Ghee in a kadai, add hing, cumin seeds, Ginger chopped, green chili chopped, saute for 2 minutes
2) Now add crushed green peas, turmeric, cumin powder, salt and cook until the green peas are almost dry
3) Now remove this mixture in a bowl, to this now add grated boiled potatoes and mix well,add chopped coriander,and corn flour
4) for the filling,take cheese in a bowl,add raisins,nuts chaat masala chop coriander and mix well
5) now take a medium size portion of the potato and peas mixture dust it with some corn flour, now make it round wati like shape stuff the mixture and seal the edges and make pattice, now make the remaining ones
6) Now shallow fry the pattice on both sides till crispy, sprinkle some chaat masala and red chili powder and its ready to serve
